“This apartment was bought by my grandfather in 1983 and has been our family home ever since. Although several members spanning multiple generations have lived here at different points of time during these past 4 decades, it is now occupied by 2 thirty-something year old siblings (me and my sister) and our 80+ year old grandmother (the OG, continuously residing member of this home ever since we bought it). We think it’s pretty special to have two ends of the generational bell curve living together in this nostalgia-inducing apartment and the Insitu team have managed to keep these dynamics at the core of their design process for common spaces (such as a big kitchen with large platforms and lots of storage space to keep our grandma happy) and individual spaces like our bedrooms. One of our friends remarked that the 3 bedrooms give 3 entirely different vibes - stormy sky, Spanish villa and ghats of Varanasi - which is a testament to Sahiba’s versatility. The Insitu team also introduced us to some incredible artwork and even so many months after the home makeover has officially been complete, Sahiba continues to be our friendly sounding board for creative advice. Renovating this home has truly been one of the greatest joys of our entire lives and we cannot be more grateful to have shared this adventure with the Insitu team.”
