Heirloom Living

Designed for a young family of four, this home draws inspiration from the warmth and familiarity of the clients' ancestral home in Gujarat, while embracing the functionality of contemporary living. Rooted in tradition, the interiors feature earthy kota stone flooring with custom inlay details, intricate brass accents, and beautifully restored heirloom furniture that carries stories across generations. Working within an existing rectangular plan with awkwardly placed columns and low beam heights, the design introduces arches in multiple forms to soften and seamlessly integrate the structure. Warm, earthy tones are punctuated by a distressed navy-blue double door, creating a home that feels deeply personal, timeless, and effortlessly welcoming.
